Reset is offering a range of luxurious treatments in a design-led space in Double Bay.
As the end of the year approaches, it’s fair to say that many of us are in need of some R&R. Sydneysiders are in luck, with luxe day spaReset now open in Double Bay, offering a range of treatments to help us slow down and feel revitalised during this especially busy season.
Unlike the growing trend for expansive, communal bathhouses, the aptly named wellness studio is less public bathhouse and more private residence. Reset focuses on intimate spaces designed for individuals or small groups, equipped with traditional cedar saunas, ice baths, a halotherapy salt cave and vitamin C-infused showers.
Reset invites Sydneysiders to wind down.
“This has been a true passion project for our team, designed around the traditional therapies we know and trust," shares Creative Director of Reset. Melissa Schrumpf.
At the heart of the spa is the signature Circuit. Designed for up to five guests per session, it allows spagoers to enjoy a medley of treatments in the traditional sauna, ice bath, eucalyptus steam room, magnesium spa and vitamin C shower.
The glowing red travertine and Himalayan salt-lined Halotherapy Cave mimics a natural salt cave and is designed to encourage meditation and improve respiratory and skin health.
Find serenity in the travertine Himalayan salt-lined Halotherapy Cave.
LED Light Therapy & Treatments are available in private treatment rooms while Private Contrast Therapy combines sauna, ice bath, and vitamin C shower experiences in a private suite for one to three guests.
Those with post-flight or post-workout aches can book a Compression Therapy treatment, designed to encourage circulation in your legs, reduce inflammation, muscle pain and aches while also increasing your recovery time.
“At Reset, we believe in creating beautiful, considered spaces that feel as if you are at home," says Schrumpf. “Using natural and organic materials, we wanted to achieve a calm atmosphere with moments of personality."
Reset treatments are designed to help guests feel revitalised.
Surface Gallery and artisan studio Natural Brick were called upon to envelop the space in a calm, minimalist fitout that’s both contemporary and timeless. Breccia stone reception counters, travertine-lined spas, chequered flooring, recycled-composite concrete sinks and walls of Himalayan salt blocks were used in the materials palette, paired with French-wash colourways and chrome heritage details.

Where to drink & dine
1. The Bar
Indulge in the Fullerton Signature Afternoon Tea.
Inside The Fullerton Hotel Sydney’s lobby, The Bar does more than sling a few delicious cocktails (although it certainly does that well). Its brown leather chairs and glass ceiling create the perfect, almost al fresco, setting for the Fullerton Signature Afternoon Tea.
Served daily from 12 to 4 pm, the afternoon tea is a nod to the cherished social occasion it once was during the Victorian Renaissance era. People like to dress up for this afternoon tea, and if you’re lucky, a pianist often sits down at the on-site grand piano, just adding to the elegance.
The afternoon tea is served high tea style, offering reimagined British flavours of the Victorian Renaissance era with a unique blend of Australia’s culinary heritage. A sweet layer offers delights like a Malted Milk Envelope (a milk mousse layered between two biscuits), Bakewell Pudding (a super tasty egg-based pudding), and Apple Charlotte.
On the savoury layer, expect finger sandwiches with fillings like cucumber, egg and smoked salmon. While classic pinwheels and stuffed eggs almost make the menu. And, of course, all finished off with traditional scones served with cream and mixed berry jam.
Can’t fit in a whole afternoon tea? Be sure to at least order a slice of the 32-layered chocolate cake, a decadent mix of dark chocolate crémeux, fresh whipped cream, and Valrhona Azélia chocolate sauce.
2. The Place
Dine in the stunning GPO atrium.
On level one of The Fullerton Hotel Sydney lives The Place – the hotel’s restaurant, in an atrium overlooking the former GPO. Here, dine on Modern Australian cuisine – think fresh, local seafood and a Riverina steak sandwich – along with a touch of Singaporean signature dishes, like Thai-style green curry or chicken satay. All in the shadow of the GPO clock tower, enjoying the GPO atrium’s natural light.
3. Local gelato
